Our client came to us with a couple yellow gold pieces. A King Tut ring that was very light and poorly made and a hollow pendant. She originally wanted a nice ring that she could wear everyday as she is an Egyptologist. The ring she wanted was the size of the hollow pendant but with more detailed lotus flowers on the sides and raised up on a \'gallery\' to showcase the head of the Pharaoh. Definitely a complex ring to make. The final result is a solid top with a substantial shank and detailed gallery. The old gold items were also given in as a credit toward the purchase of the new ring.
