Many times, we have been asked to make an item where the gemstone will touch the skin.  This is often for religious reasons.  This young lady brought us two green beryl that had significant symbolic meaning to her and wanted an organic looking pendant.  She thought a leaf but did not want it looking like it was just flat and smooth.  She wanted something more realistic and with definition.  We made this in rose gold, using both her gemstones.  And both gemstones touch her skin.  We hope that the pendant and gemstones will bring her the symbolic meaning she seeks.
