I loved creating this ring.  The reason was that this gentleman has been a client for about three decades. He hasn’t bought lots but bought things that had meaning, and I remembered him because he was a hard working guy that wanted a nice ring. The original ring was made about thirty years ago and was lost. He wanted it replaced. I recalled the ring vaguely but then with a picture was able to recall the design. The original used genuine placer nuggets but I did not have any so created the ring with a reticulated texture. It was fun to remake this ring a bit bigger and heavier and the client loves wearing it. Truly a win-win.
