This was an interesting change for the type of diamond typically called for in an engagement ring. It is a natural mined and uncut diamond. The lady wanted a halo effect but did not want a regular faceted diamond. Finding an uncut rough diamond is harder than expected. First, finding a reputable supplier is tricky but secondly, any rough diamonds that enter Canada have to have a Kimberly Certificate or come from a source that complies with the Kimberly accord. Once the paperwork was done, making the ring and setting such a natural diamond shape is tricky but we did it.
