Many times, we have made engagement rings with centers other than diamond. In this case, we used a very bright and lively blue/green Montana sapphire. At over a carat and a half, cushion cut, the colors worked very nicely with the yellow gold ring. Add a couple different shaped diamonds and an almost traditional look that is not traditional.
