Sometimes we get requests that seem almost impossible and then a simple adjustment makes them realizable. In this case, we needed to match the diamonds In the band to the engagement ring. That diamond was a Dream® cut by Hearts On Fire®. There is a slight curve to the band required to sit flush without any gap between the two rings. With square diamonds, the curve would leave small spaces that wouldn’t look very appealing. When you look at the band there is a small bit of metal like an edge that fits flush to the engagement ring. Because the client liked a claw style setting, an added level of complication was added. With the edge on the inside a claw setting on that edge would not work. We channel set the inside edge, claw set the outside edge and then went back and added a small tip to look like a claw at the edge of the channel.

The result was, claw set, flush fit, no curve, Dream® cut diamonds and an awesome looking band.
