Recently, I have had a lot of interest in fine quality rubies. At a trade show, I found an incredible 1.5 carat, cushion cut ruby that displayed dazzling red color and brilliance. I wanted something unique but not far out, so that if a lady came in that was celebrating a 40th anniversary, it would be perfect. Ruby is the gemstone used to celebrate a 40th anniversary and yes even in today's marriage climate people do make it to 40 years with one spouse. This custom gemstone ring used both yellow and white gold to offer versatility for the wearer. I channel set small Asscher cut diamonds on the sides and put some round diamonds in a small halo around the ruby to give some white contrast to the strong red color of the ruby.
