This ring was passed down. The ring was badly worn out and needed extensive repairs. The tips were worn out and the sidewalls had cracked and broken off. It can be a tough decision to decide how much to spend on an item that has great sentimental value but may not be a high value item. In this case, rather than spend huge amounts on side walls and a new shank, we reworked the ring to fit on top of a new band. Then we retipped the diamonds. The ring kept the original look, the sentiment and was as good as new for a huge savings.
