We often get questions about Hearts On Fire diamonds. What makes them so special? Are they really different from other diamonds? Are they more expensive? Well we are here to answer those questions for you!

Are they more expensive than other diamonds?

This is probably one of the questions we get asked the most. Let us ask you this, do you pay more for ground beef or a steak? Why do you pay more for a steak when ground beef is made of the same thing? Some would argue that steak tastes better, it’s higher quality beef.  Just because two things are made of the same material does not mean they are of the same quality. Now take that steak and give it to a mediocre chef and they will make you a steak. Or you can give that steak to an amazing chef and they will make you a meal that is out of this world.

Not only does Hearts On Fire use a minuscule fraction (less than one tenth of one percent) of the Earth’s knot-free and transparent crystals, the diamonds are cut by only the most skilled and patient diamond cutters in the world. On average, a 1 carat diamond takes approximately 2 hours to cut by machine, where as Hearts On Fire diamonds take 8 hours to cut and polish by hand. Combine high quality material with men and women who are highly skilled at what they do and you end up with what we would argue is as close to pure perfection. The higher the quality of an item, regardless of what it is, the higher the cost.  Cut makes a diamond more valuable. Hearts On Fire has the highest standards for cut quality in the industry.

Where do Hearts On Fire diamonds come from?

The simple answer to this question is to tell you that like all diamonds, they come from the Earth! But I am sure that is not exactly what you meant with that question. There is no specific region where Hearts On Fire diamonds come from. This is because of the small fraction of diamonds that meet the standards of Hearts On Fire. We understand that for some people this can cause some worry but no need! Hearts On Fire wants you to be confident that your diamond is conflict free from point of origin to the finished product and that is why they strictly follow The Kimberly Process. What is the difference between Hearts On Fire and other brands?

Starting from the selection process Hearts On Fire diamonds are under strict requirements. The first step in selecting a Hearts On Fire diamond starts with some of the rarest and most unique diamonds in the world. As mentioned before, the percentage of diamonds that fit into this criteria make up less than one tenth of one percent of the world’s diamonds. From there the diamonds are cut and polished by master craftsmen at 100x magnification (versus the industry standard of 10x magnification). There is a big difference between just meeting an industry standard and being the best in the world! Only the best diamond cutters are qualified to cut for Hearts On Fire and that means 500 out of 1.5 million diamond cutters are qualified. The unique process that goes into cutting these diamonds is top secret! Using these methods, Hearts On Fire is able to consistently deliver the highest cut quality that the world has ever seen. High cut quality equals more sparkle!
