This gemstone is considered to be the rarest gemstone in the world at the moment. Brazilian origin Paraiba tourmalines have a very intense blue green color that is vibrant and almost like a neon sign for brightness. The Brazilian mines were depleted within a couple years and some material is coming out of Madagascar but it is not of as fine a quality. In this ring, the Paraiba is set in a yellow gold semi-bezel and low to offer protection from knocks.
