What are Chatham gemstones?

It started with a dream. Carroll Chatham was determined to start making synthetic diamonds but as he moved along in his career came across a method to make emeralds.
Chatham perfecting the method used to grow emeralds in 1938. It wasn’t long after and laboratory-grown rubies, alexandrite, blue sapphires and many other gemstones followed.

Each Chatham lab-grown gemstones possess the same physical, optical and chemical structure as their mined counterpart.
