David's New Cabochon Pinky Ring with Hearts on Fire® Accent Diamonds
When I stopped wearing my wedding band (no longer required) I figured that as a jeweller, I have to wear something. Right? I had a cat’s eye chrysoberyl that I have had for almost 25 years from travels to Brazil. The cabochon was very poorly centered and so I had it recut twice to get the best play of the cat’s eye. This gemstone has the natural ability to change color from a khaki green to purplish pink in different light. I tell everyone it is my mood ring, but what color means what mood is a secret. The center gemstone is bezel set, with pave set treated blue and small white Hearts On Fire® diamonds as the accent. I also used a square shank as I wear the ring as a pinky ring and this helps to prevent turning on the hand.
