This client's fianc? wanted something very simple and with a distinct vintage feel. She wasn't looking for a traditional diamond in the center. And yellow gold! We took a very old turn of the century (1900's)design and made it a bit heavier. Then we used two small pear shaped diamonds on the side. The part that gave this ring it's unique flavor was the center diamond is a modern rose cut. Rose cuts were very prevalent as much as two centuries ago as diamonds were not easy to cut with the technology of the times. The rose cut is basically a small dome with a flat bottom and facets on the top. Simple, clean and an antique flavor to this sweet ring.
