Coming up with unique or personal graduation rings is always fun. I get to sit down with young adults and listen to what makes them tick. Some have very specific tastes but are still a bit less confident to express what they want. Often the push and pull process of finding the right design is more about finding out what they don't like first. In this case, a young lady was getting a present from her parents for graduation. She wanted a very contemporary design with some texture. I showed her some genuine black diamonds and she loved the idea of adding them in. I bezel set them in a weaved center to give the ring a lighter feel with some texture. I also kept the sides of the ring a bit heavier as she intended to wear the ring on an index finger.
