I came across a light mauve colored sapphire that was an unusual convex cut. The sapphire changed color depending on the light to pink or darker purple. I set it in a bezel in an asymmetric design and added some channel set diamonds to add a contrast of white. The sapphire was almost ½ carat so the ring wasn't too big and any hand could wear it.
